World History:
The First World War:-
On 28 July 1914, Austria declared war against Serbia and so the First World War started. There were two alliances in the war-Tripple alliance comprising Germany, Austria, Hungry and Italy at one side and Triple Entente comprising France, Russia and Britain. Later, in 1917, U.S.A. also came with them. The First World War happened between 1914-1918.
The Russian Revolution:-
1. The Father of the Russian Revolution is the leader of the Bolsheviks, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanoy, popularly known as Lenin:
2. The event of Bloody Sunday was happened during the Russian revolution in Petersburg on 9 January 1905.
3. At the time of Russian Revolution Nicholas II was the Czar (the Russian emperor)
4. The Communist International (also known as the Comintern) was formed soon after the Russian Revolution for promoting revolutions on an international scale.
Fascism and Nazism:-
1. The term ‘fascism” is of Italian origin. It was started by Mussolini.
2. Nazism is the German term. It was started by Adolf-Hitler. Hitler wrote his book, ‘Mein Kamp’ (literal meaing’my struggle’)
The Second World War:-
Italy, Germany and Japan are known as Axis Powers. The Second World War’was fought between 1939 to 1945. On 1 September 1939, Germany attacked Poland and started the war and on 2 September 1945, with the Japanese surrender before the Allied, the Second World War came to an end. The Soviet Union suffered the Worst during this war. Though it emerged as the mightiest power in the world next to the U.S.A.
Some other Facts:-
1. North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) was formed in 1949, for defence against the Soviet Union. The members of this alliance were the U.S.A., Canada, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Portugal, Britain, France, Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg.
2. Socraters most distinguished student and follower was Plato. He was the author of The Republic.
3. Hippocrates of Greek is known as the ‘Father of Medicine’.
4. In eleventh century the king of Britain Henary I formed a Council. This can be assumed the. birth of Parliament in England. In 1215 the Megna Carta was signed to develop the Parliament.
