CTET Syllabus 2018:
CTET is all India level Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE. This test is conducted twice in a Year. Candidates are selected on the basis of written Test followed by Personal Interview. CTET Syllabus Primary Stage:
This paper is for candidates who intend to teach class I-V. The Detailed Syllabus of the primary stage is discussed below:
I. Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions)
- Child Development (Primary School Child) (15 Questions)
- Concept of development and its relationship with learning
- Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence
- Principles of the development of children
- Influence of Heredity & Environment
- Language & Thought
- Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)
- Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias, and educational practice
- Piaget, Kohlberg and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives
- Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion etc.
- Concepts of child-centered and progressive education
- Formulating appropriate questions for assessing readiness levels of learners; for enhancing learning and critical thinking in the classroom and for assessing learner achievement.
- The distinction between Assessment for learning and assessment of learning; School-Based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation: perspective and practice
