DSSSB PGT Exam Pattern 2017-18
Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) will be conducting an entrance examination for selection of candidates for various posts under the Two Tier Technical Post 2. One of the most important post in that category is the Post Graduate Teachers (TGT). The TGT teachers are also qualified through the B.Ed or M.Ed. then also, they will have to appear in the examination of DSSSB for further selection as a teacher in the Senior secondary schools. DSSSB PGT Teachers Eligibility Criterion
- The aspirants should have cleared the graduation from a recognised university by UGC in any stream.
- They must have done masters degree in the same subject from a recognised university.
- They should have done a compulsory two year course in Bachelor for Education (B. Ed) for from any college recognised by the Delhi board. Apart from that they must have completed the M. Ed in the same subject.
- They should either have done M. Ed or M.A. in any subject followed by M. Ed to be able to fill for the PGT Vacancy in Delhi.
- Having acquired the above mentioned eligibility criterions, the candidates can fill for the PGT Teachers Vacancy in Delhi.
DSSSB PGT Teachers Selection Process 2017-18
The selection procedure for selecting posts under the Two Tier Technical Post 1 will have two stages which are as follows:
- Tier 1: Objective Paper with Subjective Expertise
- Tier 2 : Subject Qualification and Descriptive Test
In the Tier 1 examination, the candidates will have to qualify the GAT alongside the Subject related paper. The candidates qualifying the Tier 1 will then be called for appearing in the Tier 2 of the examination. The Tier 2 examination will be a sole subject matter related examination as well as for the descriptive test. Check out the exam scheme for both the papers here.

Here is the examination scheme for the above mentioned posts:
- There will be Two Parts in the examination – Part A and Part B
- There will be five sections in Part A each carrying 20 questions each. All the sections are compulsory.
- Part B will have one section related to subject qualification and it will carry 100 questions.
- There will be a total of 200 questions in the examination.
- For every question, there will be one mark and hence the total marks equals to 200 Marks in these posts.
- The candidates will get 2 hours to solve the questions in the examination.
- There will be a negative marking in the examination also which will be equal to 0.25 marks for each wrongly answered MCQ.
- The candidates will not be given any extra time for solving the questions.
