Primary teachers are those teachers who teach at the primary
level of any school. The primary level includes classes one to five in any
government school. Hence the PRT teachers have also the job to look after the
students from the junior most classes as in pre nursery. DSSSB is soon going to
release huge vacancies for the PRT Teachers in Delhi. This is being done
because there are shortage of teachers in the NCT region. The schools,
therefore have to hire guest teachers to look after the students of these
batches. The High court recently asked the DSSSB and the AAP government to
quickly release all the vacancies pending for the PRT Teachers Vacancies in

PRT Teachers Eligibility Criterion
· The aspirants should have cleared Class XII
examination with at least 60% marks through any board.
· They should have done a compulsory two year course in
D. Ed for teachers training in any reputed training school duly recognised by
the Directorate of Education, Delhi Government.
· They must have qualified the centrally conducted
Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET).

Here is the examination scheme for the above mentioned

There will be five sections in the
examination in the Paper 1 and an expert paper in the form of Paper 2.
·
There will be 200 questions in the
examination. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will have similar number of questions. Five
sections in Paper 1 will carry 20 questions of one Mark each.
·
For every question, there will be one mark
and hence the total marks equals to 200 Marks in these posts.
·
The candidates will get 2 hours to solve the
questions in the examination. they will get 1 hour to solve Paper 1 and another
1 hour to solve the Paper 2.
·
There will be a negative marking in the
examination also which will be equal to 0.25 marks for each wrongly answered
MCQ.
