CTET 2019: Eligibility, Syllabus, Important Dates
CBSE has released the notifications regarding CTET exam 2019. CTET is an teacher eligibility exam to access the qualities of a candidate to serve as a teacher in central schools. The person, who wants to make a career in teaching profession must get this certificate. Important dates regarding CTET exam 2019 are mentioned below.
Starting date of online application form : 1 August' 2019
Last date of online application form : 27 August' 2019
Last date to pay fee : 30 August' 2019 before 3:30 p.m
CTET Admit card availability : Last week of November' 2019

CTET 2019 Exam date : 9th December' 2019
Result declaration : January' 2019

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2019
CBSE has decided some eligibility criteria to appear in CTET exam. Mainly two points are considered for a candidate to assess if he/she is eligible to appear in exam or not.
Age for CTET Eligibility
Minimum age limit for CTET exam 2019 is 18 yrs for both the papers. There is no restriction for upper age limit to appear in CTET Exam 2019
Qualification for CTET Eligibility
Academic Qualification for paper 1(Classes I - V)
- Candidate should passed or appearing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education with 50% marks in Sr. Sec.
OR
- Candidate should passed or appearing in 2nd yr. of diploma in elementary education with 45% marks in Sr. Sec.
OR
- Candidate should passed Senior Secondary Education or its equivalent with 50% aggregate in diploma in special education.
Academic Qualification for paper 2(Classes VI - VIII)
- Candidates, who completed or pursuing final yr. of diploma in elementary education (B.El.Ed) with B.A/B.Sc
OR
- Completed or appearing in last year of Bachelor in education with 50% marks in B.A/B.Sc
OR
- Completed or appearing B.ed with atleast 45% marks in B.A//B.Sc
OR
- Qualified or appearing in Bachelor in elementary education (B.El.Ed) with 50% marks in Sr.Sec.
- Passed or appearing 1-year B.ed (Special education) with 50% marks in B.A/B.sc.
OR
- Passed or pursuing 4 year B.A/B.sc with 50% marks in Sr. Sec.
CTET Exam Syllabus
CBSE conduct All India level Entrance Examination CTET twice in a Year. Aspiring candidates have to qualify the exam with (>=60%) to be a CTET Certified candidate. This certificate is must for a person who is having a great desire to serve in central schools.
